A common phenomenon that can be witnessed over the internet is the availability of many newly created essay types. Any mutual characteristics between different essays can be grouped into a single category.

The example that will be discussed in this article is based on facts essays, i.e. works which common characteristic is content based on facts. Writing facts essays is not more difficult than any other type of essays as long as the main characteristics of such essay are applied.

Topics in Facts Essays

Facts essays can be written on different topics, and thus, when choosing a suitable one, certain conditions should be met. Such conditions in facts essays might include:

  1. The topic is founded on facts.
  2. The topic can be proved with facts.
  3. The topic is not opinionated.
  4. The topic is significant to write about.

Writing a facts essay implies that the author will attempt to support any of its position using facts only. Personal opinions as well as the opinions of authoritative people are excluded in facts essays.  Accordingly, topics based on opinionated foundation should be excluded from facts essays as well.

The Type of the Essay

The easiest way to write facts essays can be seen in making the essay descriptive, with the facts being used as a summary of a particular problem. Nevertheless, other types can be selected as well, e.g. argumentative essays. A facts essay can be argumentative as long as the arguments used to persuade the audience are based on facts.

The refutation part in such essays should be based on facts as well, regardless of the support of the opposition. An example of the latter can be seen in essays with such topics as abortion, where the groups supporting and opposing such phenomenon use facts in their arguments, although different ones.
